A film platform designed to elevate Black culture in a key cultural moment.
8:46 Films is a platform developed with creative collective Saturday Morning to honour the legacy of George Floyd by showcasing up-and-coming Black filmmakers and storytellers.
It was created in partnership with Tribeca Films and Procter & Gamble's Widen the Screen initiative.
Debuting on Juneteenth 2021, first at the Tribeca Film festival and later on broadcast television, the 8:46 film series featured four narrative short love stories told by four young filmmakers in eight minutes and 46 seconds, reclaiming the last minutes of George Floyd’s life with joy and love.
Created with friends at Saturday Morning.
